"Top 50 For Women" - by Golf For Women Magazine #25 in the US for 2005. Holes #1 & #15 are featured in the book "The 100 Greatest Holes along the Grand Strand," - published by The Sun News Carved from the site of two Carolina plantations, Willbrook Plantation Golf Club is a course that noted architect Dan Maples has often called "One of my best!" Located on the south end of the Grand Strand, Willbrook winds its way amid a centuries-old oak forest where nature abounds. It was recently featured on the award-winning television show "Nature Scene" for its peaceful coexistence of golfers and nature. The par-5 15th hole, demonstrates the many challenges of the wetlands, waterways and stately oaks used in this great design. Willbrook is known for not only the tactical play ability required, but also for the natural surroundings you'll experience. This makes it a favorite of returning women golfers.

I know it’s been a tough winter with all the rain and cold but I thought the greens & tees were very thin and sparse. Some of the overall conditioning just seemed to be slipping. The staff was very nice and considerate but it seemed to me that more grooming of the course is needed and maybe they have cut back on their help. It’s a nice old course and I enjoyed the play but for the cost I think a little more care is needed.

Wow, what a course! First visit for all 8 of us and we loved the place right from the start as we entered the parking lot at the bag drop! Southern hospitality at it's greatest! From the bag guys to the snack bar girls and the pro, this place was awesome! Course was beautiful and the holes were all different! Water, traps and turns made it a thinking man's place to score well. Greens were great and fairways were marked well. These guys want your business and made us feel wanted as guests, and that was nice. The pro was very helpful and comped us at the bar for a round of beers! We will now put this place on our list as a definite spot to play!

I think I shot a 92, but I was happy with the shape of the course. I was wondering what was going wrong with my second shot to the green (it was always short). The humidity was the answer. During my vacation I played this golf course 3 times. I really enjoyed playing there.

My wife and I played several courses in the area in the time we were there. Of all the courses we played, Willbrook was the best track and in the best condition of any of them. We were impressed with the welcome we received from the pro shop to starters. We will definitely put Willbrook on our list for our next visit.

What can I say, this course was the best we played - 54 hung over people who were handled by the staff, and got out on the course, although some of us ran late. We all filled out the tee time range.
The course was breathtaking, down to ever detail. The moss, the swamp, the wild life, the awesome brick work on the tee boxes. The green and fairways were great. We gave this course a 9 and 1/2, only because we haven't played their more expensive neighbors yet.

I really enjoyed the course the attendants were great but one of the starters gave another gentleman that we were paired up with an uncalled for hard time. This is my second favorite course right behind Caledonia and for the price Willbrook was a much better deal.

Played Willbrook this past Sunday and it was in fantastic shape. Golf staff from the starters to the pro shop are the best!

Made me feel like they really appreciated my business. Best service I ever received at any golf course. Head Pro Kevin and his staff were exceptional at customer service.

The double tee times were discouraging. We choose to golf early so we could get done and spend time with our families. We spent 5+ hours at the coarse and had to wait on every stroke on the back nine. We were going to golf tradition later in the week but b/c of double tee times we chose another coarse.

Enjoyable round, beautiful course and I enjoyed the signage describing the history of the plantation. Greens were very dry yet the fairways were quite wet from the rain. Thought the greens would be in a bit better condition. Also, I thought the grill area was a little too basic and scaled back when compared to the course and clubhouse.
