Didn't like how slow the back 9 was to play. We were the first ones off at 7:30 a.m. and we finished the front at 9:15 a.m. for a nice 1:45 pace. The second 9 took forever; we finished with a 5-hr. round.

We had two carts which did not make it through the round. One of which did not make it through the first hole before dying. Although the group was on hole # 1 it took over 20 minutes to get them a replacement cart. The pro shop responded that they were very busy when we called in the problem from the first fairway, not realizing that this was holding up every other tee time behind them.

We were very desapointed on the greens' condition. They were spiked prior to our visit and were bumpy and quite slow ... The putting green wasn't spiked and we thought we were going to have one of our greatest golf experiences or our lives ... It wasn't to be, we really would have liked to be advised of the greens condition prior to our visit. We would have played somewhere else and not leave this great course with a bad taste in our mouth. Thanks.

What can you say about playing King's North that hasn't already been said? It is without question one of the finest golfing experiences anywhere. We played it on the morning of July 16 and found it, as always, to be in tremendous shape. It is challenging, yet forgiving when you need it to be and its physical beauty help make golf there the sort of Zen experience it ought to be. What a great course with a super staff. This is a Myrtle Beach must-play.

My favorite course in Myrtle Beach. Beautifully maintained while providing various shots and decisions.
On Barefoot – Dye:
We played the back tees which probably was a mistake for me. My buddy scored an 82 from back there, so I played it with him. Your starter needs to keep his opinion of who should play back there to himself (Ace). If I want to spend my money, not slow anyone down, and torture myself, that should not be discouraged by anyone on your staff.
On Barefoot – Fazio:
Super course and experience. Your staff at the carts do a great job of juggling three courses.
On Barefoot – Love:
Good enough to bring me back in future years.
On Barefoot – Norman:
Nice course to end the trip on. Go home with decent scores.
On Long Bay Club:
Love the course. Played it six times now and will always make it part of my golf trips.

Course in great shape, but after finishing front nine in 2 hours, pro shop let group who's plane was late out in front of us at turn. Play was very slow after that and took 5 and 1/2 hours for whole round. Everyone in our group and those behind us were angry. Pro shop was unresponsive.

Excellent course, for several reasons:
1. The continuous attention by course management to enforce and maintain the pace of play.
2. Tee boxes and fairways were well maintained with fair and consistent greens.
3. Lay out: I truly enjoy a course that requires a little creativity on shot making and rewards accordingly.
4. The restaurant served good food with quick service and turn around.
5. I shot my best round during our golf outing at King's North!

Wow, what a course!! I did manage to hit a lot of the bunkers, lol, but had a great time! Everyone there was so nice and helpful. The pace of play was excellent. Didn't ever have to wait on the tee box for the group in front of us. We will definitely be coming back to play this course...and/or the other ones there too!
