RC is one of my favorite courses. We have played it the last three years straight. The greens are consistent and the course was in good shape. The water is always in play and some hole make you rethink your approach. The decision to go for it or not rest with the proper placement of your tee shot or approach.

HAd most "semi private" feel of all courses played that week. Greens take obviously the brunt of the play. I know I repaired 4-5 significant ball marks per green. Bent grass just doesn't tolerate that kind of neglect from people who play the course. Would suggest course marshalls that encoursge pace of play, repairing divots and especially ball marks on greens.

The River Club was nice. People said Willbrook was better but I disagree. Willbrook was ridiculous in that you can hit a great drive but be on the wrong side of the fairway and have a large tree block the green. River Club was fair; you hit good shot in the fairway you had an angle to the green.

Love the course, course ranger was frustrating. We had 5 foursomes in our group. Our first group played 18 in just under 4 hours. The 2nd-5th groups played in 4.5 hours, which is the recommended pace of play for the course according to the score card. The ranger was giving our second group a hard time and threatening to make them skip a hole because one was open, rather than recognizing that they were on pace with the recommendation printed on the score card. This is not the first time our group has had a similar experience with a ranger at River Club. If they truly do not feel that 4.5 hours is the appropriate pace of play, than don't print that on the card.

Played this course on the 27th as the 2nd 18 for our 52-person group. The heat was over 100 degrees, so we lost a few people. That's a shame, this course was in tip-top shape, maybe the best greens we have ever seen. We played it 2 years ago and was disappointed with the shape it was in; not this time. From tee box to green, everything was great. A very nice water layout. We gave this course a 9.

Every trip to Myrtle Beach should include a round at The River Club. A well maintained course that is challenging but fair. When you check your score card after the 17th hole you pull up to the 18th - a risk/reward if there ever was one! Go for it! It's worth the reward. My first double eagle.

The course was very challenging and crowded. I felt like I was playing on a beach (a lot of sand traps). It was cart path only which made for a long round. It is a beautiful course in fantastic shape. The summer greens had not come in all the way yet but still were in above average shape. The starter and pro shop help were very friendly. Play was a little slow, but otherwise everything was excellent. Very friendly staff. Kids play free is great for the game and families.

difficult course. sand and water everywhere. longest par 5 i've ever seen. nicely maintained.
roads need to be updated on gps...getting there was not easy due to gps inaccuracy. obviously not the course's fault, but thought you might like to know.

really looking forward to this course and was so dispointed!!!!! Condition was poor, greens were just sanded and I paid all that money to play a course just sanded! Really ticked us off!!!! I should have been advised of this by your rep on the phone and I paid top dollar!
