Wachesaw East
911 Riverwood Drive, Murrells Inlet, SC
8.1
A championship course designed by Clyde Johnson was built on this beautiful former rice plantation. Heavily wooded and framed with oaks and a gentle undulating terrain makes for a pleasurable game. The five sets of tees ensure inclusion of all ages and skill levels. Freshwater lakes line the greens with the hint of Scottish-flair for design on this nationally televised course for the LPGA and Kathy Ireland/Greens Competition Classic. As one of the Prime Time Signature Courses, Wachesaw Plantation East is a perfect course for your South Strand golf vacation.

Pleasently suprised. Course is in great shape from tee to green. Staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't care for the long drives between holes through neighborhoods but it is not uncommon.

This was somewhat of a disappointment compared to the other courses we played. It just didn't live up to the hype. It won't be on the list of courses to play when we return.

Grill was the best part of this course. Staff rude and obnoxious. Took forever to play ... only ranger in sight was on the cartoon channel during Yogi Bear cartoon. Don't waste your money here.

Course was in good condition. I do not like how this Web site charged my credit card prior to playing. I had no intention of paying for my entire party. Plus 1 of our players was comped as he works at another local course, however my card was still charged for his round.

First time playing and enjoyed the course thoroughly. Picked it out of the book (just dumb luck) and learned it was part of the Signature 14 (play 4 and get fifth round free). Great value. Played on a slow afternoon (Fathers' Day) and parts closed early (bev cart and grill room), but the outdoor bar was still open at the turn and after. Would play again for sure!

The service provided by all the personel at Wachesaw East was superior. They greeted and showed great care with my members. The course was in superior shape and provided a true challenge of golf skills.
