Arrowhead Makes Its Debut; TPC of Myrtle Beach Cracks Top 5
July 16, 2010 – Arrowhead Country Club, the 27-hole signature layout of Tom Jackson and Raymond Floyd in Myrtle Beach, makes its debut on the “Myrtle Beach Golf Insider Top 25” in the newly released rankings for July 2010, the Web site announced Friday.
Arrowhead enters the rankings at No. 22.
The rankings are determined by golfers who submit their post-play reviews for publication on the Golf Insider’s Web site, www.MBGolfInsider.com. They are based on the aggregate scores of each participating golfer’s review, where golfers rate on a 10-point scale their course experience in each of six categories: greens, fairways, tees, pro shop, grill and staff.
TPC of Myrtle Beach (5) cracks the top 5 for the first time, joining Dunes Golf & Beach Club (1), Thistle Golf Club (2) and Tiger’s Eye Golf Links (3), whose positions remain unchanged from last month; and Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (4), which moves up one spot from its June ranking.
The complete Top 25 for this month was completed on July 15, with scoring ties separated by total number of reviews for each course (indicated in parentheses). The last figure in each listing indicates the change in ranking since last month:
